PRINCETON - Led by a pair of individual wins from Kent DeMond and Meir Hasbani, the Princeton men's swimming team maintained its dominance at Denunzio Pool with a pair of Ivy-opening victories against Cornell (164-79) and Penn (198-45).
Princeton, which has won two of the last three EISL League titles, showed little trouble against its first two league rivals. Starting with a team win in the 400 medley relay, Princeton cruised to five wins in the first seven events to cruise to victory.
Highlight performances were had by Hasbani in the swim lanes and Demond off the diving board. Hasbani won the 200 IM in 1:52.59 and the 200 butterfly in 1:50.16. Demond claimed both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions with respective scores of 280.70 and 340.15.
