Parker Henritze Named Ivy Volleyball Rookie Of The Year

PRINCETON - Parker Henritze was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week five times this past season. Every other player in the league tied with five Rookie of the Week awards combined. Henritze capped a terrific freshman campaign by claiming the Ivy League Rookie of the Year award, while teammate Jenny McReynolds was named first-team All-Ivy for the first time in her career.
Henritze, who claimed the first, third and last three Ivy League Rookie of the Week awards this season, led Princeton with 4.73 kills per game and finished second to McReynolds with 2.79 digs per game. She also led the team with 48 aces, 19 more than any of her teammates and 12 more than anybody else in the league. Henritze finished second in the Ivy League in kills per game, finishing behind Ivy League Player of the Year Elizabeth Bishop of Cornell.
McReynolds' 6.83 digs per game not only leads the Ivy League, but it leads the nation. As of the last official stats posting on the NCAA web site, McReynolds led Debora Seilhamer of Southern California by .17 digs. She led Katie Lapinski of Brown by nearly two digs per game in the Ivy League race.
Setter Jenny Senske earned honorable mention All-Ivy status after finishing second in the Ivy League with 12.93 assists per game.
