Eleven Tigers Named to ECACHL Women's Hockey All-Academic Team

Princeton, N.J. - Eleven members of the Princeton women's hockey team were among the 84 student-athletes named to the ECAC Hockey League's All-Academic team. Princeton seniors April Brown and Katharine Maglione received the recognition for the third time in her careers.
Eleven is the most representatives that Princeton has had on the All-Academic Team since the ECAC began the awards for the 1999-00 season. The previous high was nine in 2000-01. Princeton had eight representatives on the team.
Classmate Becky Stewart joined Brown and Maglione on All-Academic team as all three seniors on the Tiger roster are represented on the team. Stewart received all-academic status for the second time in her career. Four Tiger juniors on the squad, led by Sarah Butsch, Tarah Clark and Chrissie Norwich making their second appearance. Roxanne Gaudiel is a first-time member of the team.
Joining her in making a first appearance are four sophomores. They are Kate Hession, Dina McCumber, Kim Pearce and Alison Ralph.
Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they have completed at least one academic year, have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, and have competed in at least one-half of her team's games during the current season. Goaltenders must have played in at least 33 percent of the team's minutes.
