70th-ranked Princeton Returns Home, Defeats Rutgers 7-0 in Men's Tennis

The 70th-ranked Princeton men's tennis team defeated Rutgers Saturday afternoon, 7-0, thanks to three three-set victories in singles and three easy victories in doubles that led to the doubles point.
Princeton lost just nine games in three doubles matches to sweep and take the doubles point, then clinched the match early with straight-set wins at No. 2 by Sratha Saengsuwarn, No. 3 by Hans Plukas and No. 5 by Jonathan Leslie.
Rutgers took three other singles matches to a third set, but the Tigers won the decisive third set in all of those matches. Darius Craton beat Tyler Deming 6-3 in the third at No. 1, Andrew Lieu defeated Arjun Vaidya 6-3 in the third at No. 4 and Christian Husby, playing his first match of the spring, beat Gabe Adams 6-3 in the third set.
The Tigers host Penn next weekend to begin Ivy League play.
