Women's Water Polo Wins Four League Games Over Weekend

Salem, W.Va. - The Princeton women's water polo team posted four wins over the weekend in league play by defeating Salem International twice and then topping Maryland and Bucknell. The Tigers outscored their competition 53-16 in the four games and are now 13-4 this season.
The games began on Friday night with a game against Salem International. The Tigers were in control the whole way as they posted a 13-3 victory. Elyse Colgan led the offense by scoring three times, while Samantha Shaughnessy and Carolina Ardila both scored twice for Princeton. Natalie Kim and Shannon DeVore split the game in goal.

Princeton continued the weekend with a second game against Salem International on Saturday morning and once again the Tigers cruised to victory. Colgan led all Tiger scorers with four goals in the 15-7 win, while Ardila scored three and Jazmin Brown and Jessica Ajoux both scored two. Devore made two saves in the win.

Princeton's next game came against Maryland and the Tigers came away with a 16-2 triumph. Nine different Tigers scored in the game, led by a high of four from Karina Reyner. Ardila scored thee goals and Colgan and Shaughnessy each added a pair. Kim and Devore again split halves in the games.

Princeton's final game of the weekend came against Bucknell and the Tigers completed a perfect 4-0-league weekend with a 9-4 win over the Bison. Colgan and Coutrney Mee led the Tiger attack with two goals each while Kim made eight saves in the goal.

Princeton is now 13-4 on the season and 5-0 in the Southern Division. The Tigers return to action during their Spring Break trip to California next week. The Tigers open the trip on Saturday against UCLA and UC San Diego.
