No. 1 Heavyweight Crew Completes Successful Regatta Against Rutgers

PRINCETON - The Princeton heavyweight crew, ranked No. 1 in the nation, defeated Rutgers in three of four races Saturday, including the key first varsity race. The win improves the Tigers to 2-0 on the season.
Despite heavy rainfall, the first varsity eight put forth a strong effort, finishing in 5:40.6, while Rutgers came in at 5:52.4. The Princeton second varsity also won, as did a novice eight boat that has had two consecutive strong efforts to start the 2005 season.
