Tigers Fall to No. 63 Columbia in Men's Tennis, 4-3

The Princeton men's tennis team got straight-set wins from Darius Craton at No. 2 and Andrew Lieu at No. 5, but Columbia won the doubles point and two singles matches in second-set tiebreaks on the way to a 4-3 win over the Tigers at Jadwin Gym Friday afternoon.
Craton won 6-4 and 6-2 at No. 2 over Jimmy Moore, and Lieu won 6-4 and 6-4 over Mike Moore at No. 5. Plukas won 6-3 in the third set to give Princeton a third singles win.
Columbia, ranked No. 63, earned the doubles point when the Moore Brothers defeated Josh Burman and Sratha Saengsuwarn at No. 2, 8-6. Akshay Rao lost just three games at No. 1 singles to give the Lions a win, and Rajeev Emany and Michael Accordino then won in tiebreaks to help Columbia clinch.
Princeton fell to 2-4 in Ivy League play, while Columbia improved to 5-1.
The Tigers (13-8 overall) play at Cornell Sunday afternoon.
