PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The 43rd-ranked Brown men's tennis team was too much for Princeton in singles action, winning all six matches in straight sets on the way to a 6-1 win over the Tigers in a match played in Providence Friday afternoon.
Princeton won the doubles point to take an early lead in the match. After Josh Burman and Sratha Saengsuwarn won 8-6 at No. 2 to even the doubles at 1-1, the No. 3 team of Darius Craton and Ted Mabrey won an exciting 9-8 decision to give Princeton the point.
The Tigers took three of the first sets in singles matches to 7-5 scores, including Josh Burman at No. 1, but Brown did not lose a set in singles. The Bears top two players are both ranked in the top 90 in the country.
