Oakley Named ECACHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON - Princeton sophomore forward Marykate Oakley was named the ECAC Hockey League Player of the Week on Monday for her performance in Princeton's sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth last weekend. Oakley scored goals in both games and had four points for the weekend.
Oakley scored three of Princeton's 13 goals over the weekend, including two goals in Friday's win 6-1 win against Harvard. Oakley scored the Tigers' fourth and fifth goals in the game and also set up Brittany Salmon's goal in the game. The following day against Dartmouth, Oakley scored midway through the first period to give Princeton a 2-0 lead. Oakley had 14 shots through the weekend and was +3.
The award is the first of Oakley's career. She was named the league's rookie of the week once last season as a freshman.
In addition, freshman forwards Annie Greenwood, also the scorer of three goals over the weekend, was named to the league's honor roll.
Princeton is back in action this weekend at Union.
