BOSTON, Mass. and NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Two standout Princeton men's track athletes had record-setting performances this past weekend as the indoor season for the Tigers neared its conclusion.
One performance came from hurdler Ray Lenihan, who finished in second place in the 55-meter hurdles at the annual IC4A championships held in Boston. Lenihan, who has been dominant in the event all winter long, ran a 7.39, a personal best in the event and the fastest time in the Ivy League this season.
A few hundred miles away, another Tiger had a record-setting performance in a much longer event. Frank Macreery, dominant in the 5,000 meters all winter, ran a 14:07.76 in that event at the Notre Dame Invitational, setting a new school record in the event.
Chris Banks held the old school record, more than three seconds behind new recordholder Macreery.
