Princeton Women's DMR Impressive at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - Princeton women's distance medley relay team of Catha Mullen, Laura Landry, Jordan Wagenseller and Cack Ferrell finished an impressive fourth Thursday night at the Penn Relays Distance Medley Relay Championship of America race at Franklin Field.
The Tigers' bettered their previous best time from indoors by eight seconds in finishing the race in 11:12.53. Princeton finished behind only race-winner Villanova (10:57.03), Stanford (10:58.72) and Brown (11:11.31)
Mullen ran the first leg (1200m) in 3:24.1. Landry ran the 400-meter leg in 55.7. Wagenseller ran her specialty, the 800 meters, in 2:13.1, while All-America Ferrell ran the final leg, the mile in 4:39.6.
Princeton was also busy in other events on the Franklin Field track Thursday night. In the college women's 3,000 meters, freshman Jolee van Leuven ran a 9:45.97 to finish in fourth place individually. Caroline Mullen was 15th in that race in 10:08.78.
A few minutes earlier, Suzanne Andrews participated in the 3,000-meter steeplechase Championship of America race, where she finished ninth in 10:34.65.
In the Heptagonal 4X400 race, Princeton finished third behind Cornell and Brown.
