Tigers Have Several Top Finishes at IC4A's on Saturday

Led by a third-place finish in the pole vault by Andrew Park and a fourth-place showing in the long jump from Derek Davis, the Princeton men's track team had a strong day on Saturday at the 2006 IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Weaver Stadium.
Park was one of just three pole vault competitors to clear the five-meter mark, leaping an outstanding 16 feet, 10 3/4 inches to finish in third-place in the field. Davis's long jump effort of 23 feet, 5 1/2 inches into a headwind was good for fourth in the event.
Princeton also had an outstanding finish in the 4X800 meter preliminary race, finishing third in a time of 7:35.44 in qualifying for Sunday's final. The 3200 relay team consisted of Collin Plummer, Mike Kowal, Eric Beights and Kurt Kuehne.
