Six Tigers Receive Academic Honors in Women's Water Polo

PRINCETON - Six members of the Princeton women's water polo team received academic awards from the Collegiate Water Polo Association and the American Water Polo Coaches Association for their work in the classroom during the 2005-06 academic year.
All six were named to both the AWPCA's Varsity Women's All-Academic Team and the CWPA All-Academic Team. The athletes have achieved cumulative GPAs at or above 3.20 to qualify for the team.
The players honored were: junior Jazmin Brown, junior Elyse Colgan, freshman Claire Jacobson, junior Shannon DeVore, senior Anne-Lise Maag and junior J.J. Ryu.
Maag was named to both teams for the fourth Tiger in her career, becoming the second Tiger to ever achieve the feat. The AWPCA awards were first given out in 2001 and the CWPA awards in 2002. DeVore and Ryu are now three-time honorees, while Colgan is a two-time honoree.
