Dineen and Greenwood Named to 2006 U.S. National Women?s Festival

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Princeton rising sophomores Katherine Dineen and Annie Greenwood were among the 40 players invited to the 2006 U.S. National Women's Festival from August 15-22 in Lake Placid, N.Y. The Festival will serve as the try-out for a three-game, Under-22 Series against Canada in Ottawa, Ontario, August 24-27. Following the Festival, a final roster consisting of 20 players will be announced.
Both Dineen and Greenwood were members of the ECAC Hockey League's All-Rookie team during their freshman campaigns at Princeton. Greenwood shared the league's Rookie of the Year Award, was a second-team All-ECACHL selection and took home the Ivy League Rookie of the Year Award.
Greenwood ranked second on Princeton in overall scoring last season with 34 points. Her 25 goals, 12 power-play goals and five game-winning goals were all team highs. Dineen scored three goals and added four assists. She scored two power-play goals and added a game winner.
The Princeton women's hockey season kicks off on Friday, October 20 at Boston College.
