Men's Golf Finishes 14th at St. John's McLaughlin Invite

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Princeton men's golf team finished 14th at the three-round McLaughlin Invitational, hosted by St. John's, which concluded Saturday. John Sawin and Max Schechter were Princeton's top individuals at 12-over.
Akron won the tournament with a collective 5-under. The Zips also had the top individual finisher in Blake Sattler, who was 6-under.
Sawin (69-75-78-222) and Schechter (73-72-77-222) tied for 50th place, while rookie Juan Pablo Candela (72-72-79-223) was a shot back at 13-over. Brent Herlihy (72-75-77-224) tied for 61st at 14-over, while rookie Jake Skinner (80-74-78-232) rounded out Princeton's five in a tie for 78th at +22.
The Tigers are away from competition next weekend but travel to Williamsburg, Va., for the Joe Agee Invitational hosted by William and Mary.
