Women's Volleyball Looks To Extend Streak In First Full Ivy Weekend

Led by Ivy League Player of the Week Lindsey Ensign, the Princeton women's volleyball team opened its league schedule Saturday night with a thrilling 3-2 home win over Penn. The Tigers, currently rising a seven-match win streak, will continue a long homestand this weekend with Columbia and three-time defending Ivy League champion Cornell.
Princeton is currently 9-3, 1-0 in the league, and has three payers averaging at least 3.9 kills per game. Ensign leads the team with 4.34 kills per game and is hitting .468 overall. Outside hitters Parker Henritze and Sheena Donohue, both of whom had more than 20 kills against Penn, are among the top three on the team in digs. Senior Jenny McReynolds is the dig leader on the team with 5.19 per game.
Princeton will take on Columbia Friday night at 7 p.m. The Lions, who were swept by the Tigers last season, are currently 3-9, 0-1 in league play. Cornell, the three-time league champions, are 4-6, 1-0 in league play. Princeton will take on Cornell at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
