Schmidt Named a Second-Team All-America in Field Hockey
November 19, 2007 | Field Hockey
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association named Princeton senior Paige Schmidt a second-team All-America on Monday. It's the third All-America award for Schmidt, who was a third-team selection as a sophomore and junior.
Schmidt scored nine goals and had five assists overall and was also a unanimous first-team All-Ivy selection and league Player of the Year for the third straight season. The senior started all 18 games for the Tigers and led a stout Tiger defense to a third-straight title. Schmidt scored Princeton's first two goals in their win at Penn last Friday that clinched the Ivy title outright for Princeton.
