November 02, 2007 | Women's Ice Hockey
Three current Tigers and one Princeton alum were named to the USA Hockey Women's Holiday Camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1. The camp will bring together 56 of the nation's top women's hockey players.
Three current members of the team have been invited to the camp: senior Lizzie Keady, junior Katherine Dineen and freshman Sasha Sherry. Keady, Princeton's captain, has appeared for the U.S. at both the World Championships and at the Four Nations Cup. Dineen has yet to appear internationally for Princeton and is a junior defenseman on the Tiger roster.
Sherry, in her first season at Princeton, is also a candidate for one of the 20 spots on the roster for the National Under-18 Team that will compete at the 2008 IIHF World Women's Under-18 Championships in Calgary from Jan. 7-12, 2008.
Megan Van Beusekom '04 is one of six goaltenders attending the camp. In addition to the camp, Van Beusekom will don the Red, White and Blue from Nov. 7-11 when she plays for the U.S. at the Four Nations Cup in Sweden. Van Beusekom has appeared for the U.S. at the World Championships in 2005.
