Dartmouth Rallies For 4-3 Win Against Women's Hockey

Dartmouth scored two goals in the third period to rally from a 3-2 deficit and defeat the Princeton women's hockey team 4-3 on Friday night at Thompson Arena. Freshman Sasha Sherry had three points in the loss for the Tigers.
Princeton and Dartmouth both scored twice in the opening period. Senior Brittany Salmon score don the power play at 3:13 from Sherry, but Dartmouth answered two minutes later when Amy Cobb scored on the power play. Maggie Kenedy made it 2-1 Dartmouth two minutes later, but Sherry's first career goal at 15:07 of the first tied the game at two. Senior Marykate Oakley assisted on the goal.
Princeton scored the only goal of the second period when senior Sonja Novak scored off a pass from Sherry at 11:04. Princeton held that lead through the end of the period and past the midway point of the third period, but Dartmouth scored twice in a 2:01 span to cpome back and win. Cobb evened the score at 13:42 and Jenna Cunningham scored the game winner minutes later.
Dartmouth outshot Princeton 36-15 in the game. Junior goaltender Kristen Yong made 32 saves for the Tigers in the loss.
Princeton is now 1-2-2 on the season and 1-2-1 in league play. The Tigers play at No. 7 Harvard tomorrow at 4 p.m.
