Beights Leads Tigers at New Balance Collegiate Invitational

Eric Beights' second-place performance in the 1,000 meters highlighted the Princeton competition Friday at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the 168th Street Armory in New York City.
Running the third of three sections, Beights finished the five laps around the armory track in a time of 2:27.30, just behind winner Milos Vuckovic of Manhattan. Princeton teammate Kurt Kuehne also had a strong race, finishing seventh in 2:28.58.
In the college division of the men's high jump, Princeton's Justin Frick cleared six feet, seven inches to join five other athletes with the third-best clearance of the day.
Princeton's distance medley relay team was the fifth-place finisher in the college division of that race, while in the championship bracket of the 5,000 meters, senior Paul Rosa finished eighth in a time of 14:45.47.
