Ten Tigers scored to lift the 18th-ranked Princeton women's water polo team to an 18-15 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Wednesday afternoon. Seniors Karina Reyner and Elyse Colgan, and freshman Lauren Sabb all scored three goals in the win.
Princeton jumped out to an early lead in the game before CSUMB closed the gap with a flurry in the fourth quarter. Princeton went ahead 13-7 in the first half, using eight first-quarter goals and five in the second half. The Otters outscored Princeton 7-3 in the final quarter but could not close the gap as Princeton's early lead proved insurmountable.
Princeton returns to action in two days when the Tigers visit Santa Clara, the nation's 14th-ranked team. Princeton defeated Santa Clara earlier this season.
