Men's Golf Finishes 10th at Towson's Lacrosse Homes Collegiate

GRASONVILLE, Md. -- The Princeton men's golf team finished 10th of 21 teams at the 36-hole Lacrosse Homes Collegiate, hosted by Towson University at Prospect Bay Golf Club in Grasonville, Md.
John Sawin finished sixth overall at even par after lowering his Saturday score of 74 to 70 Sunday. Keegan Bradley of St. John's, which also won the team title, won the individual title at -2 with a 72 and 70. He finished one shot ahead of a four-person group at 1-under.
The Red Storm was at +4 for the tournament, winning the team title by eight shots over Longwood. Georgetown, Yale, Richmond, Columbia, Cornell, Loyola (Md.) and William & Mary were the other teams ahead of 10th-place Princeton. Drexel, Towson, Army, St. Bonaventure, James Madison, St. Joseph's, Liberty, Binghamton, Navy, Long Island and Rutgers rounded out the field.
Freshman Juan Pablo Candela tied for 30th at +7 after a 78 and 73. Sophomore Max Schechter was third among Tigers, tying for 49th at +10 with a 76 and 78. Fellow sophomore Andrew Maliniak tied for 67th at +13 with a 79 and 78, and rookie Jake Skinner tied for 92nd at +19 with an 84 and 79.
Princeton will host the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club April 14-15 in the team's final tournament before the Ivy League Championship the following weekend.
