Princeton Wins Four Events at TCNJ Lions Invitational

The Princeton men's track team won events in the hurdles, the long-distance races and in the field at the annual Lions Invitational held at the College of New Jersey Saturday afternoon.
Ian Thomson led a strong day in the hurdles by winning the 400-meter intermediate hurdles in a time of 55.30 seconds. In the 110-meter high hurdles, teammate Chris Vasich was a close second in a time of 14.68 seconds.
Princeton athletes won both the high jump and long jump competitions on Saturday. Ian Fox's impressive mark of 6-8 3/4 was Saturday's best in the high jump, while Scott Henkelman tied for the day's best long jump mark with a leap of 22 feet, 2 1/2 inches.
In the 5,000 meters, Tim Branigan crossed the line first in a time of 15:21.82.
Chad Faulkner's pole vault clearance of 14 feet, 7 1/4 inches was good for second in that event.
Richard Andrews finished fifth in the 1,500 meters in 4:03.21, while Jimmy Joy was right behind in sixth in 4:03.65.
