PRINCETON -- Three Princeton women's soccer players were recognized with a spot on the 2008 NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region teams, announced this week at the College Cup.

Seniors Sarah Peteraf, a midfielder, and Lisa Chinn, a defender, each received third-team honors after each were also recognized as a first-team All-Ivy player. Peteraf had a breakout season with 12 goals to lead the Tigers to their first NCAA tournament berth since 2004.
The three total honors are the most since 2004, when Princeton advanced to the NCAA College Cup semifinal. That season, Esmeralda Negron '05 and Diana Matheson '08 were first-team honorees, while Emily Behncke '06 was on the third team, the following season, Behncke and Matheson were second-team all-region honorees, and this year's trio of winners marked Princeton's return to the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic region list after an absence in 2007.
