February 04, 2008 | Women's Ice Hockey
Princeton senior forward Lizzie Keady was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week on Monday following a four-point performance in Princeton's weekend sweep of Rensselaer and Union at Hobey Baker Rink.
Keady began the weekend with a pair of goals in Princeton's 4-3 overtime win over RPI on Friday night. Keady's first goal came at 15:37 of the third period to give Princeton a 3-1 lead, then after the Engineers rallied to tie the game and force overtime, Keady netted her eighth of the season midway through the extra session to lift Princeton to the win.
One day later, Keady notched a pair of assists in a 7-0 shutout of Union. Keady assisted on Princeton's first two goals in the game, setting up junior Christine Foster's game winner in the first period and senior Brittany Salmon's tally in the second period.
Keady now has 16 points on the season with eight goals and eight assists. She and her Princeton teammates are back in action this coming weekend at Yale and Brown.
