
Top-Ranked Women's Lightweights Win At Central Florida

The top-ranked Princeton women's lightweight crew first varsity boat improved to 5-0 this season by topping Central Florida by more than 12 seconds in a race held Saturday morning on Lake Pickett in Orlando, Fla.
Princeton's first varsity eight won its race in 7:25.3 in a mild chop with a slight head wind at less than 10 miles per hour. UCF's first varsity finished in 7:37.9, while the Tigers' junior varsity was close behind that in 7:41.1.
In the lightweight four plus coxswain race, the Tiger novice/freshman boat had a strong finish, placing second behind the UCF "A" group in 9:12.8. Winds increased to more than 10 mph for that race that began with a moderate to heavy chop on the water.
The Tiger lightweight women will compete against Georgetown on Lake Carnegie next Saturday.
