Lindsey Ensign Named First Ivy Volleyball Player Of The Week

Senior middle blocker Lindsey Ensign, the reigning GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, picked up a second honor after her first weekend of the season. The two-time first-team All-Ivy selection was named the first Ivy League Volleyball Player of the Week after leading Princeton to a sweep of the Rose Hill Classic.
Ensign recorded 46 kills (3.83 per game) and hit a weekend-best .549 in the sweep of Fordham, Stony Brook and Manhattan. In the opening match against host Fordham, she had 15 kills and no errors in 20 swings. Ensign added six digs, four aces and four blocks during the weekend.
Through the season is very early, Ensign is currently the NCAA leader in attack percentage. She will lead Princeton back on the court Wednesday night when Princeton travels to Philadelphia to take on Temple University at 7 p.m.
