Zane Kalemba, Eric Jackson And Steve Dolan Join Latest Edition Of TigerCast
October 15, 2009 | Football, General, Men's Cross Country, Men's Ice Hockey
Men's hockey standout goalie Zane Kalemba joins coaches Eric Jackson (football, defensive backs) and Steve Dolan (cross country) on the latest edition of TigerCast.
Kalemba, a preseason All-America goaltender for the men's hockey team, has been the defensive anchor for a Princeton squad that has made two straight NCAA tournament appearances. The starting goalie during Princeton's run to the 2008 ECAC championship, Kalemba talks about the current team, the energy level at Baker Rink and his experiences over the summer with an NHL team.
Jackson, in his 10th season as the defensive backs coach, looks ahead to Saturday's football showdown in Providence against the Brown Bears. The 2008 Ivy co-champ, Brown has one of the most prolific passing offenses in the country and will provide a stiff test for a defensive backfield that Jackson believes has shown growth through the season. He even talks about which of his players might "beat him up" after the weekend.
Dolan, who also serves as the assistant coach for the track & field program, is looking to guide Princeton to a fourth straight Ivy League title in men's cross country this season. The final tune-up will come this weekend in the Princeton Invitational; Dolan talks about the meet, his team and his early thoughts on the Heptagonal championships.
