"This is our first Ivy sweep since we've been a group and a lot has gone into that, and I thank most of all, the leadership of our seniors. We'll enjoy this for a few hours before we start to get ready for Yale and Brown at home."
Columbia was paced by Judi Lomax's 14 points and 15 rebounds. Lauren Dwyer added 11 points and five rebounds and Kathleen Barry also had five boards and a team-high two steals. Downs received her third foul shortly thereafter and had to take a seat on the bench. The teams traded two points, and Columbia added a free throw to make it 29-24 at 1:10. Stevens put one in off the glass for a seven-point lead, but the Lions would close out the half with three points to set the first half score at 31-27.
