Hale Named Ivy Pitcher of the Week

Princeton junior starting pitcher David Hale was named the Ivy League Co-Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday following eight innings of work last week in which he did not allow an earned run.
Hale went 1-0 last week, working six strong innings against Navy on March 21st as the Tigers rolled to a 4-0 victory. The junior had six strikeouts on the day and surrendered only four hits. In a game earlier in the week against No. 1 North Carolina, Hale worked two innings of relief. He surrendered no earned runs while yielding three hits and striking out one.
Hale has a 0.00 ERA in 13 innings this season. He has given up 10 this and struck out 15 batters.
Hale and his Princeton teammates are 7-6 on the season and begin their Ivy League schedule this weekend against Yale on Saturday and Brown on Sunday.
