Fourteen Named All-Ivy in Track & Field

PRINCETON, N.J. (3/4/09) ? Fourteen members of the Princeton track and field teams were named All-Ivy League selections it was announced by the Ivy League office on Wednesday, April 4.
The men's team won seven events at Heptagonals to place seven on the first-team All-Ivy team. The include: sophomore Mike Eddy (500), junior Justin Frick (high jump), senior Duane Hynes (heptathlon), senior Alex Pessala (weight throw), junior Eric Plummer (shot put), freshman David Slovenski (pole vault) and senior Chris Vasich (60-meter hurdles).
Freshman Ricky Kearney, junior Brian Li-A-Ping, senior Ian Thomson, and Eddy were named second-team all-league as the 4x400 relay team.
Sophomore Sarah Cummings and senior Jessica Kloss earn first-team All-Ivy League honors after winning the 5,000 and pole vault, respectively.
Cummings was also named to the second-team, along with junior Liz Costello and senior Jolee VanLeuven. Cummings was second in the 3,000 while Costello earned her honor in the mile and Van Leuven in the 5,000.
