Women's Track Gets Ivy Taste at P-Y-P This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/9/09) - The Princeton women's track and field team will compete in the annual P-Y-P meet, facing Penn and Yale, on Saturday, April 11 in New Haven, Conn.
The meet begins with the hammer throw at 12:30 p.m., and will conclude with the 4x400 relay at 3:20 p.m.
The Tigers won the P-Y-P last year in Philadelphia, with 84 points. Princeton won five of the eight field events and got big contributions from its freshmen in the hurdles.
Leanne Bellar won the 400 and Liz Deir took first in the steeplechase. Lauren Barber and Katherine Sirico finished first in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles. Jessica Kloss won the pole vault, while Bianca Williams and Isabell Von Loga placed first in the triple jump and shot put. Emma Guinipero and Emma Harper were winners in the discus and hammer throws.
