Track & Field Earns 22 All-Ivy Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (5/20/09) ? Fifteen members of the Princeton track and field teams earned 22
All-Ivy League honors it was announced by the Ivy League office on
Sunday, May 17.
Freshman Austin Hollimon came away with three honors, earning first team in the 200 and as part of the winning 4x800 team. He also captured second-team honors in the 400.
Senior Michael Maag was a double champion, claiming the 1500 and 5000, for two first-team honors.
Sophomore Mike Eddy was earned two first-team honors, in the 400 and in the 4x800.
Other first-team honorees include: junior Eric Plummer (shot put), senior Alex Pessala (hammer) as well as the final two members of the 4x800 relay team of senior Ian Thomson and junior Brian Li-A-Ping.
Grabbing second-team honors are senior Chris Vasich (100m hurdles), junior Tom Zozokos (400m hurdles) and sophomore Craig Pearce (hammer).
The 2009 Ivy League Championship women's team had three members earning places on both the first and second teams: Senior Agatha Offorjebe, junior Liz Costello and sophomore Sarah Cummings.
Offorjebe was named first team in the 200 and second team in the 400, while Costello was first team in the 3000 and second team in the 1500. Cummings won the 10000 to earned first-team honors while taking second in the 5000 for second-team honors.
Sophomore Ashley Higginson (steeplechase) was named first team, and junior Reilly Kiernan (10000) earned second-team accolades.
