Women's Hockey Annouces Incoming Class of Five

Princeton women's hockey coach Jeff Kampersal has announced the team's incoming class that will join the Tigers for the 2009-10 season. The group of five players includes three Americans and two Canadians, and will join a Tiger team that was 18-11-2 last season and finished third in the ECAC Hockey standings.
"The members of the class of 2013 are solid students and talented hockey players, but more importantly, they are genuine, hard-working, humble individuals,” said Kampersal. “They possess character, drive, and a willingness to learn. They are ready to experience all the amazing opportunities Princeton has to offer. We are excited that they are joining our family."
8 - Krystyna Bellisario
Defenseman ? 5-8 ? Shoots Left
Woodbridge, Ont. ? Toronto Junior Aeros
Bellisario served as an assistant captain with the Toronto Junior Aeros Intermediate AA team last year. She contributed four goals and 11 assists from the blueline over 32 regular season games and added a goal and four assists in the postseason. The Aeros were Provincial bronze medalists, the PWHL regular season champions and PWHL playoff finalists. Bellisario also captained her high school basketball and soccer teams as a senior.
2 - Kelly Cooke

Andover, Mass. ? Noble and Greenough School
Cooke played both at Noble and Greenough and for Assabet Valley. Last year at Nobles she scored 23 goals and added 22 assists for 45 points in 29 games. As the team's captain, she helped Nobles to the NEPSAC Division I and ISL championships. Cooke was the NEPSAC tournament Most Valuable Player and scored the game-winning goals in both the semifinals and finals. Cooke is a three-time All-ISL honoree. With Assabet, she captained the Under-19 team to several tournament championships and to the National quarterfinals. Cooke has attended several USA National Development camps and won National Championships with Assabet Under-12 and Under-16 teams. She was also an All-ISL player in both field hockey and lacrosse at Nobles.
12 - Alex Kinney

Lake Forest, Ill. ? The Hotchkiss School
Kinney was an All-Founders League and a first-team All-New England choice as a senior at Hotchkiss. The forward was also the winner of the Melissa Goss Simonds Hockey Award. She was also All-Founders League as a sophomore and junior and her team was New England finalist her junior year. Kinney also lettered in tennis and field hockey at Hotchkiss winning the team's Hartcorn Award in tennis three times and was named as the New England Most Valuable Player in field hockey as a senior.
23 - Cassie Seguin

Ingleside, Ont. ? NCCP/Ottawa Senators
Seguin put up dominant numbers in goal as she helped lead the NCCP/Ottawa Senators to the 2008-09 PWHL Championship. Seguin was 34-7-2 between the pipes with a 1.07 goals-against average and a .952 save percentage. She also shut out her opponent 17 times during the season and won the league's Top Goalie award. Seguin also represented Canada at the 2009 IIHF U-18 World Championships where the team was a silver medalist. Seguin was also the goalie for the Team Ontario and backstopped her team to a national championship.
Corey Stearns

Stearns served as a captain as a senior at Noble and Greenough. She was the team's leading scorer with 23 goals and 33 assists for 56 points and was an All-ISL selection as she helped Nobles to the NEPSAC Division I and ISL championships. Stearns also led Nobles in scoring in her sophomore and junior seasons and was All-ISL both seasons. During her junior season, she competed for the United States at the 2008 IIHF U-18 World Championships in Calgary where she was a teammate to current Tiger Sasha Sherry. Stearns scored two goals and added four assists at the event to help the U.S. to the goal medal. Stearns also won varsity letters in soccer and lacrosse in high school.
