PRINCETON, N.J. (5/2/09) ? Senior Alex Pessala set a Princeton
men's track and field record in the hammer throw on Saturday, May 2 at
the Princeton Elite Meet.
He
recorded a throw of 67.96 meters (222' 11.5") setting a new personal best.
Pessala has thrown the hammer to NCAA
Regional qualifying standards each of this six times out this season. He grabbed the program record from Josh McCaughey ('04) at the Sam Howell Invitational with a throw of 67.29, surpassing McCaughey's 64.16-meter record.
