Cummings Takes 12th in NCAA Final

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (6/11/09) ? Sophomore Sarah Cummings finished in 12th place in the women's 10000-meter run at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship at the University of Arkansas, clocking in at 34:29.77.
Cummings ranked No. 16 headed into the final and improved
four slots with her second-best time in the 10,000 this season. Her finish is the third best finish by a Tiger in the national final of the 10,000.
This is the first time Cummings has participated in a track and field national championship, although she has been on the national stage twice with the cross country team.
Tomorrow senior Michael Maag will run in the men's
5000-meter final, the last event for the Tigers.
