Sherry Named to Preseason All-League Team; Tigers Picked Fourth in Poll
September 22, 2009 | Women's Ice Hockey
The Tigers received 89 votes in the preseason poll to place fourth. St. Lawrence was first in the poll followed by Harvard and Dartmouth. Dartmouth garnered the most first-place votes of any team in the poll. Princeton was sixth in the 2008-09 preseason poll and actually finished three spots better in third.
Sherry was Princeton's lone representative on the all-league team. She was a first-team All-ECAC choice a season ago and was a second-team All-America. She tied for the team lead in points with nine goals and 14 assists for 22 points.
While some teams kick off the 2009-10 women's hockey season this weekend with exhibition games, the Tigers open their season in mid-October with a pair of scrimmages, followed by their first game on Oct. 23 at Vermont.
