PRINCETON (1/11/10) -- Sophomore Paula Romanchuk was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week on Monday following her five-point weekend as Princeton took three-of-four points at home from Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend.
Romanchuk started the weekend with a three-point performance in the team's 3-3 tie with fifth-ranked Harvard. Romanchuk scored Princeton's first goal, had the primary assist on its second, and netted the team's third goal in the 3-3 tie.
A day later, Romanchuk had a goal and an assist in the team's 4-3 win over Dartmouth. Her assist came on Princeton's second goal and then she scored the game winner with less than three minutes remaining in regulation.
The sophomore now leads the team with 20 points on seven goals and 13 assists. Romanchuk and her teammates are off now for final exams and will resume action on Jan. 29 at Union.
