Balanced Attack Keeps Women's Volleyball Unbeaten in Ivy League

The Princeton women's volleyball team swept Dartmouth 3-0 to remain undefeated in the Ivy League at 5-0. The Tigers, in first place in the Ivy League standings, improve to 10-6 overall.
A balanced Princeton attack led the 25-17, 25-15 and 25-18 victories. Four Tigers had double-digit kills. The Ivy League Player of the Week Lydia Rudnick paced the Tigers with 12 kills while hitting .379, coming off of a 32-kill match against Harvard last night. Freshman Sydney Brombacl, junior Cathryn Quinn and sophomore Jennifer Palmquist knocked down 10 kills apiece. Quinn finished with a .450 hitting percentage with her 10 kills coming on 20 attempts.
Setter Michaela Venuti helped the quartet with 36 assists and had 11 digs. Leading the team in digs was junior defensive specialist Hillary Ford with 18 total.
Senior Liz McStravick, Palmquist and Quinn all finished the match with three blocks each.
Dartmouth drops to 3-3 in the Ivy League and 12-5 overall.
Princeton is away for its next four matches. First up is Columbia on Friday, Oct. 22 at 4 p.m., and Cornell on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. The New York opponents are the only Ivy League opponents Princeton has yet to face this season.
