With the win, Princeton will advance to the Southern finals for the third straight season and will look for its first title since the 2008 season. Princeton will face Bucknell, the tournament's fourth seed in the final, which defeated top-seeded Navy in the semifinals.
Princeton led 2-0 after a half but the score was deadlocked after the second and third quarters. Johns Hopkins scored the first goal of the fourth quarter to lead 6-5 but Princeton finished the game with four unanswered goals, two with the man advantage and two on counters, for the win.
Tommy Donahue led the Tigers with three goals in the win while Kurt Buchbinder scored twice. Four others scored goals in the win.
