Ford and Reinprecht Score as U.S. Opens World Cup Qualifier 3-0

PRINCETON (3/30/10) -- Sophomore Katie Reinprecht and Maren Ford '06 have both scored goals to help the U.S. National Field Hockey team to a 3-0 start to this week's World Cup Qualifier in San Diego.
Both players scored in the team's 3-0 win over France on Saturday as Reinprecht opened the scoring and Ford scored the team's second goal. The game was the second of the tournament for the United States, which has also blanked Mexico 7-0 and Belgium 3-0.
Tuesday is an off day and the U.S. continues it round-robin games schedule on Wednesday against Korea, also 3-0 thus far, and on Thursday against Canada. The classification round will be played on Saturday and pit the top-two teams in the round-robin standings.
