PRINCETON, N.J. (4/14/10) - The Princeton men and women's track & field teams will host the Larry Ellis Invitational this weekend April 16-17 at Weaver Stadium. A schedule of events can be found below and links to the Friday night heats and the Saturday performance list are posted above.
The 25 teams that will be competing in the meet include: Army, Brown, Colgate, Columbia, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Haverford, La Salle, Lafayette, Lehigh, Manhattan, UMass, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire, Penn, Princeton, Rhode Island, Rider, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. Joseph's (Pa.), Stonehill, Stony Brook, Syracuse and Vermont.
The meet will begin with the hammer throw on Friday at 3 p.m. The Friday Night Races, the meet's long distance races, will start at 6 p.m., with the women's steeplechase. Those races are open to any individual outside of the 25 declared teams widening the long distance fields.
On Saturday, the women's 4x100 and the shot put will kick things off at noon. The final event of the meet will be the men's 4x400 at 6 p.m.
Last year, Princeton won seven events: the women's hammer (Emma Ruggiero), women's 4x100, men's 1500 (Tim Branigan), men's 400 (Mike Eddy), women's 800 (Brooke Russell), men's high jump (Ian Fox) and the women's pole vault (Jessica Kloss).
