Women's Hockey Announces Incoming Class of 2014

In addition to contributing on the ice, Sally, Rose, Olivia, Gabie, and Denna are accomplished students eager to take advantage of all the opportunities offered at Princeton. They will represent PWIH well."
Rose Alleva
Defense • 5-3 • Shoots Right
Red Wing, Minn. • Red Wing High School
Rose Alleva was all-state selection and Minnesota's Ms. Hockey Runner-Up as a senior at Red Wing High School. Alleva averaged 60 points per season as a junior and senior in high school, with highs of 34 goals, 28 assists and 62 points coming her junior year. Alleva also served as the team's captain as a senior and was an all-conference selection five times. Alleva also played tennis and competed in track and field in high school.
Sally Butler

Etobicoke, Ont. • Toronto Junior Aeros
Sally Butler joins Princeton after playing for the Toronto Junior Aeros. This season in 68 games she scored 32 goals and added 41 assists for 73 points and had a +61 rating while winning 64 percent of face-offs taken. Butler had 70 or more points in each of her last three season with the Aeros, helping her team to a PWHL championship this season. Butler was the league's top scoring rookie a season earlier.
Gabie Figueroa

Branchburg, N.J. • The Lawrenceville School/Connecticut Polar Bears
Gabie Figueroa played high school hockey at The Lawrenceville School and also played for the Princeton Tiger Lilies, New Jersey Colonials and Connecticut Polar Bears over the past few seasons. Figueroa captained her Lawrenceville team as a senior, was a first-team all-state selection and was the New Jersey Devils Player of the Year. She also represented the United States in the IIHF U-18 World Championships in March, winning a silver medal. Figueroa also lettered in field hockey, soccer and crew at Lawrenceville.
Denna Laing

Marblehead, Mass. • Noble and Greenough/Assabet Valley
Laing was a member of five ISL Championship winning teams while at Nobles. As a senior, she was an All-ISL honoree and a Boston Globe All-Star. This past season, Laing scored 16 goals and added 16 assists in 23 games for Nobles, while adding 21 goals and 28 assists in 32 games with Assabet Valley. Laing played 11 season in the Assbaet Valley program was her team's won National Championships in seven of the seasons.
Olivia Mucha

West Chester, Pa. • The Hotchkiss School
Mucha was a letterwinner in hockey, field hockey and lacrosse at Hotchkiss. On the ice, she served as a team captain her senior year and won the Melissa Goss Simonds Hockey Award.
