Women's Water Polo Tops Bucknell to Advance to Eastern Semis
April 30, 2010 | Women's Water Polo
Lauren Brunner and Saranna Soroka each scored three goals in the win as the Tigers avenged their loss to Bucknell in the Southern Championship game last Sunday. The game was a virtual carbon copy of the previous win, only this time the Tigers started fast, building a 4-1 lead in the opening quarter and holding an 8-4 edge at the break. Bucknell outscored Princeton 4-2 in the final half but couldn't overcome the halftime deficit.
Princeton was three for six in advantage opportunities and Kristen Ward made seven saves in the Tiger cage. Brittany Zwirner, Phoebe Champion, Helen Meigs and Carolina Ardila added additional goals.
