Women's Lightweights Take On Regional Bests In Saturday Duo
April 09, 2010 | Women's Rowing - Lightweight
The Princeton women's lightweights are the top-ranked team in the east, while Stanford is the top-ranked program in the west. Nestled between them is Wisconsin, the top-ranked program in the country. Princeton will test itself Saturday in Redwood Shores, Calif., against both teams with hopes of earning the top national ranking by next week.
Princeton is making its annual California trip this weekend as the second-ranked team in the country, an honor it shares with Stanford. The only team above both is Wisconsin, the reigning EAWRC and IRA national champion.
This will be Princeton's last road regatta until the postseason; over the next two weeks, Princeton will host local rivals Georgetown and Radcliffe in April regattas.
