Pecotic, Spindler, Siow Advance in ITA Event

The Princeton men's tennis team will have a presence at the ITA Northeast Regional event Monday in Ithaca after wins in Sunday's play.
Matija Pecotic, at No. 2 the highest seed remaining in the singles bracket, is Princeton's last player remaining in that draw after winning two matches Sunday over Cornell's Alex Sidney and Dartmouth's Cameron Ghorbani. Matt Spindler won his match in the round of 32 over Brown's Sam Fife but lost in the round of 16 to Vasko Mladenov of St. John's, while Matt Siow fell in his round of 32 match to Yale's Mark Powers.
In doubles play, Siow and Spindler won their only match Saturday over Dartmouth's Michael Laser and Xander Centenari to advance to Monday's quarterfinals and face Columbia's Wilson Lin and Haig Schneiderman. Pecotic will take on Milo seventh-seeded Hauk in the singles quarterfinals.
