Zwirner and Ward Claim CWPA Weekly Honors

Zwirner tallied eight goals, five assists and 11 steals to lead the 18th-ranked Tigers to a 3-1 record at the Princeton Invitational and earn the February 14 Women's Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week award.
She posted pairs of goals and assists with three steals in a 9-4 win over George Washington before tacking on pairs of goals and ejections drawn with three steals in a 12-1 win over Brown. Zwirner then added four goals in Princeton's 11-10 overtime win Colorado State. Her fourth goal was the sudden death overtime game-winner and she also added three assists and three steals. Zwirner wrapped up the weekend with an assist and an ejection drawn in a 6-4 loss to No. 19 Pacific.
Ward made 26 saves in four games to lead the Tigers to a 3-1 record at the Princeton Invitational and earn the February 14 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week award.
She allowed a goal in each of her first two starts in the tournament defeating George Washington 9-4 and Brown 12-1. Against the Colonials, she posted five saves with a steal in 16 minutes of action in a season-opening victory. Facing the Bears, she tacked on seven saves with a steal in 26:35 for the Tigers. Ward concluded the weekend by contributing eight saves, an assist and a steal in 39 minutes against Colorado State, before racking up six saves and six goals against in 32 minutes in the loss to Pacific.
Princeton's Molly McBee was named to the honor roll for league rookies. McBee made her debut in the Orange and Black and scored five goals and added three assists in Princeton's four games. McBee scored three goals in a win over Brown and added single goals against Colorado State and Pacific. She also had two assists, three drawn ejections and a field block in the win over Colorado State.
