Two innings later Princeton made the score 4-0 as Mishu hit a two-run homer with two outs in the inning. Baird doubled ahead of the long ball and Princeton led 4-0.
Meanwhile on the mound, Ford retired the side in order in three of the first four innings and did not give up a hit until the fifth inning, when Georgetown strung together four singles and took advantage of a Princeton error to score three runs and trim the Princeton lead to 4-3. Mike Garza drove in two of the runs with a single.

Another double by Garza plated Lentz with the final run.
Matt Bowman singled to lead off the ninth, but Princeton couldn't get another runner on base as Georgetown retired the next three batters in order for the win.
