Sharkey and Cesan Tour Europe with Junior National Team

Kathleen Sharkey and Michelle Cesan of the Princeton field hockey team tourned Europe with the USA Junior Women's National Field Hockey Team in mid-March. The Under-21 team started its week in Ireland and will conclude it in Germany.
The team earned a pair of 2-2 ties against the Irish Junior National Team at the University College Dublin on Monday and Tuesday. The team then traveled to Germany to play the German U-21 team three times and won two of the three games. Sharkey and Cesan found their way onto the scoresheet in the middle game in Germany, a 5-1 U.S. win. Sharkey scored twice and her second goal had an assist from Cesan. Germany won the first game 4-2 and the U.S. took the third game 3-2.
The USA Junior Team is comprised of the top Under-female field hockey players in the country, including Sharkey and Cesan who spent their Spring Break week in Chula Vista, Calif., training with the U.S. Women's National Team.
