Women's Water Polo Falls 7-5 at Maryland

The teams locked up in a defensive battle over the opening two quarters with each team scoring once in each quarter to be deadlocked at 2-2 at the half. Maryland then outscored Princeton by a goal in both the third and fourth quarters to earn their second win over Princeton this season.
Katie Rigler scored her team-leading 48th and 49th goals in the loss for the Tigers with Brittany Zwirner adding her 33rd of the season. Molly McBee and Lauren Brunner also scored for the Tigers. Rigler and Brunner also added two assists apiece. Kristen Ward made 11 saves in goal, including six in the third quarter.
Princeton scored on three of seven man-up chances and was 0 for 1 on 5-meter chances as Rigler missed a penalty shot. Princeton killed off all seven ejections it received as five of Ward's saves came on man-up shots.
Princeton falls to 15-10 with the loss. The Tigers close out the regular season on Sunday against Brown.
